Every year the movers and shakers in the military spouse community gather in Washington, D.C. to network, exchange ideas, discuss policy and celebrate the newly-elected leaders of this patriotic community of 1.1 million women and men. We call it Military Spouse Week (#MSOY17). Four main events over the course of two days offer unique access to key leaders in the military spouse community.
Military Spouse Week Events #MSOY17
Military Spouse Town Hall
It all starts with the Town Hall. Military spouses spend a day networking, debating and exchanging ideas that they will take back to their bases. The Town Hall is open to any and all military spouses and will take place at the stunning Army Navy Country Club on May 11th. MSOY Week sponsors can join through networking, exhibiting, advertising, and speaking opportunities.
Town Hall Reception
After the Town Hall, the reception gives sponsors intimate networking access to spouse leaders in a casual, personal atmosphere over drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
MSOY VIP Reception
The VIP reception is typically held at the private home of one of the members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Gold and Silver sponsors can attend this reception alongside our Spouse-Of-The-Years (SOYs), as space permits. The reception is limited to approximately 50 people.
The Luncheon is the main event of the week. It includes a one-hour networking reception with around 250 attendees, followed by a two-hour formal program leading to the announcement of the overall Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year®, presented by Military Spouse magazine.
