Why you should attend?

The Military and Veteran Services department at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) supports over 7,000 military-connected students annually. The department assists these students with admissions, registration, application/certification of benefits, career development/readiness, and engagement/belonging. UTA MAVS provides a peer mentorship and Social Work field placement program, where junior and senior military-connected students, Social Work majors, and faculty/staff who are veterans or military-connected from various majors help new students succeed at UTA. UTA has been designated a Purple Heart University by the Military Order of the Purple Heart and has been nationally recognized for its service to veterans.
