Western Illinois University

Western Illinois University was established in 1899 in Macomb. The Macomb campus offers a traditional residential campus to students. A non-residential campus is also located in Moline, Illinois. Mission: Western Illinois University empowers students, faculty, and staff to lead dynamic and diverse communities. We provide student-centered undergraduate and graduate programs characterized by innovative teaching, research, and service, grounded in interdisciplinary, regional and global perspectives. Why you should attend?

Western Illinois University has a Veterans Resource Center (VRC) dedicated to meeting the needs of military/veteran students and dependents. Specifically, the VRC provides streamlined services in a centralized location to veterans, national guard members, reservists and active-duty personnel and their dependents. In particular, VRC provides assistance completing various forms/ applications for the G.I. Bill, Illinois Veterans Grant, Illinois National Guard Grant, Illinois MIA/POW Scholarship, Federal Tuition Assistance, Federal Student Aid programs, and/or military/veteran students and dependents dealing with a military activation/deployment; housing accommodations; requesting military records/ transcripts; community and outreach services; and health benefits.
