Drexel University has offered the Yellow Ribbon without restrictions for over a decade and features an Office of Veteran Student Services and a Veterans Task Force. The institution is nationally recognized as a Military Friendly School with a mature infrastructure of support for military-connected students, alumni, dependents, and advocacy and partnership with and for military connected faculty, staff, and community members. The Masci Family Veterans Lounge has existed since 2011 — with upgrades in 2019 — and serves as a hub for the Drexel Veterans Association and a variety of programs and activities coordinated by the Center for Military and Veteran Services: career services, social networking, community service, alumni events, and Green Zone Training opportunities. The Lounge is staffed by Student Veteran Ambassadors to encourage peer leadership and engagement. The members of Veterans Task Force represent a wide swath of services available to military-connected students (priority registration, academic support, wellness/mental health, career, alumni engagement, community service, etc.). The institution offers a unique educational experience with cooperative education and a focus on translational research. The city is welcoming to our military-connected students and the institution has a number of great connections that support our military students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
