University of Rhode Island

The University of Rhode Island (URI) is the flagship, public land-grant research university in the state with its main campus in Kingston, Rhode Island, United States. There are 4 satellite campuses throughout Rhode Island. The university offers bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and doctoral degrees in 80 undergraduate and 49 graduate areas of study through nine academic schools and colleges. These schools and colleges include Arts and Sciences, Business, Education and Professional Studies, Engineering, Health Sciences, Environment and Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy and Oceanography. URI has over 17,000 graduate and undergraduate students.

The Center for Military and Veteran Education has a large activity center and veteran lounge with 8-12 work-study students, a graduate assistant, and a full-time director. URI also has an active and thriving Student Veteran Organization, a mental health advocate and close working relationships with our career educational specialists as well as a full-time VA Certifying Official. Veterans qualify for in-state tuition and URI has over 70 national guardsmen who receive free tuition through the state.
