Portland Community College

Portland Community College is the largest institution of higher learning in Oregon, and serves residents in a five-county, 1,500 square-mile area in northwest Oregon. The district includes the state’s largest city, Portland, and the most rapidly growing population areas in the state. PCC enrolls almost 50,000 full- and part-time students annually. The PCC Board of Directors consists of seven members elected by zones to four-year terms. The board members govern the college, which includes selecting the president, approving the hiring of other staff and faculty, approving the college budget and establishing policies that govern the operation of the college.
