Lake Area Technical College

Established in 1965, Lake Area Technical College is one of four post-secondary technical colleges in South Dakota. Nationally recognized as the #1 two-year community college in the nation by the Aspen Institute in March 2017, Lake Area Tech offers 31 programs of study, many of which offer e-degrees. Our contemporary campus sits on 40 acres in the friendly community of Watertown. Recently completed facilities include a healthcare building and the Diesel building expansion. The Archway project, including the Dana J. Dykhouse Business Center of Learning and the Advanced Manufacturing Center, will open in Fall 2024.
