Delaware Valley University or DelVal

At Delaware Valley University we are inspired by the ideals of our founder, who in 1896, emphasized respect for all people and ideas, who honored knowledge with practice, progress and the common good. Our historical commitment to experiential learning integrates theory and practice and prepares undergraduate and graduate students to meet the challenges of a complex global environment and to engage in lifelong learning. We provide students with the requisite skills and a spirit of inquiry that enrich and inform their lives, prepare them to pursue meaningful careers, and fulfill societal, community and family responsibilities.

Why you should attend?

At Delaware Valley University we pledge to help advance military careers or prepare the transition into the civilian arena through one of our undergraduate or graduate degrees or certificate programs. In addition to providing personal attention to our service members, we want to assure you that special care is taken of the sons and daughters of our veterans who are using Post-9/11 veterans’ benefits. The University welcomes military students who use tuition assistance. We have a specially trained staff devoted to military and veteran students and the processing of their academic and financial benefits, allowing service members and veterans to focus on academic goals. Our staff is expert in processing Federal Tuition Assistance, Post-9/11 veterans’ benefits, and other VA educational benefits. We also have the Janet Manion Military and Veterans Center which was built to honor the memory of Janet Manion and the crucial role that she played in creating the Travis Manion Foundation. The center, which is located in Elson Hall on the University's main campus, is a gathering place for student-veterans and military members, offering personalized services to fulfill each veteran’s needs. It is a place for veterans, military personnel and their dependents to relax with people with shared experiences between classes, get help with paperwork for educational funding, and get support from staff and peers. Staff at the center provide counseling and college advising to include registration and financial aid.
