University of Missouri

Founded in 1839 as the first public university west of the Mississippi River, the University of Missouri is two universities in one: A major land-grant institution with a statewide mission of service to citizens, and Missouri’s largest public research university. Mizzou is one of only 40 public universities selected for membership in the prestigious Association of American Universities and is one of only six universities in the country with schools or colleges of medicine, veterinary medicine, agriculture, engineering, law, and a research reactor all on one campus. Mizzou offers more than 350 degree and certificate programs (more than 100 available online). Over 30,000 students represent every state in the nation and over 100 countries.

Why you should attend?

The MU Veterans Center assists veterans from pre-admission through graduation by accessing resources for tutoring, housing, financial and personal issues; providing access to internships and career advising; supporting classes for veterans only; and advising and certifying courses for VA education benefits. Mizzou offers priority registration, a Veterans Transfer Interest Group, an officially recognized Student Veterans Association that advocates for student veterans and service members, and strong support for student veteran-oriented activities. Mizzou Online further serves students who have full-time careers, families, and duties that make classroom attendance difficult. Online graduate students pay in-state tuition regardless of residency. Missouri Online offers a 10 percent tuition discount for veterans pursuing one of its online degree programs.
