About United States Sports Academy

The United States Sports Academy is an independent, non-profit, regionally accredited, sports-centered university created to meet the growing need of properly trained and educated sports professionals. Its role is to prepare men and women for careers in the various areas of the sports profession. Undergraduate majors are Sports Management, Sports Coaching, Sports Studies, and Sports Strength and Conditioning. At the graduate level, majors are Sports Management, Recreation Management, Sports Coaching, Sports Health and Fitness, and Sports Studies. The Doctor of Education in Sports Management offers specializations in Sports Leadership, Sports Marketing, and Human Resources Management in Sports.

Why attend United States Sports Academy

The Academy has made the commitment to always keep the bachelor's tuition below the Tuition Assistance (TA) maximum. In addition, active duty military members receive a 30% discount on tuition for the master's programs. Incredibly low fees and textbooks included with the tuition provide substantial additional savings. Military members also receive an automatic two-week extension for each course. The Academy participates in the Post 9/11 GI Bill and the Yellow Ribbon Program. Teaching in a virtual, self-paced, asynchronous learning environment provides the total flexibility needed by military members to study at any time from anywhere in the world.

A scientific program that focuses on the anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and biophysics of human movement, and applications to exercise and therapeutic rehabilitation.


Hospitality Administration/Management

A program that prepares individuals to serve as general managers and directors of hospitality operations on a system-wide basis, including both travel arrangements and promotion and the provision of traveler facilities. Includes instruction in principles of operations in the travel and tourism, hotel and lodging facilities, food services, and recreation facilities industries; hospitality marketing strategies; hospitality planning; management and coordination of franchise and unit operations; business management; accounting and financial management; hospitality transportation and logistics; and hospitality industry policies and regulations.


Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General

A program that generally prepares individuals to manage the development of human capital in organizations, and to provide related services to individuals and groups. Includes instruction in personnel and organization policy, human resource dynamics and flows, labor relations, sex roles, civil rights, human resources law and regulations, motivation and compensation systems, work systems, career management, employee testing and assessment, recruitment and selection, managing employee and job training programs, and the management of human resources programs and operations.


Sports and Fitness Administration/Management

A program that prepares individuals to apply business, coaching and physical education principles to the organization, administration and management of athletic programs and teams, fitness/rehabilitation facilities and health clubs, sport recreation services, and related services. Includes instruction in program planning and development; business and financial management principles; sales, marketing and recruitment; event promotion, scheduling and management; facilities management; public relations; legal aspects of sports; and applicable health and safety standards.
