About Penn State DuBois

Penn State DuBois, a campus of the Pennsylvania State University, located in north central Pennsylvania, has the feel of a small private college but the lower cost and greater resources of a major public university; Penn State DuBois is the best campus at the best university for many students. Students can complete a variety of baccalaureate and associate degrees at Penn State DuBois, or begin the first two years of more than 160 Penn State majors before moving on to University Park or another Penn State campus. The curriculum includes allied health and business programs, engineering, and wildlife technology.

Penn State cares about its military students. We have a designated Veterans Services coordinator to assist students through their time at Penn State DuBois. In addition, we provide a cutting-edge education at an internationally recognized university with resources to support many and varied degree programs and the experiences that go with them. Penn State DuBois is welcoming and supportive to both traditional aged and adult students. Small classes make it easy for students to interact one-on-one with faculty and engage in meaningful research and internship opportunities to further their careers. Includes instruction in human life span development, occupational therapy principles and practice skills, treatment planning and implementation, record-keeping and documentation, patient education and intervention, activity and program direction, and assistive services management.

Physical Therapy Technician/Assistant

A program that prepares individuals, under the supervision of a physical therapist, to implement physical therapy treatment care plans, train patients, conduct treatment interventions, use equipment, and observe and record patient progress. Includes instruction in applied anatomy and physiology, applied kinesiology, principles and procedures of physical therapy, basic neurology and orthopedics, physical therapy modalities, documentation skills, psychosocial aspects of health care, wound and injury care, electrotherapy, working with orthotics and prostheses, and personal and professional ethics.
