About L'Academie de Cuisine

The L'Academie de Cuisine (LADC) mission is to provide substantive, professional training programs in the culinary and pastry arts that prepare students for employment and advancement in the multi-faceted food-service industry. In constant pursuit of that mission, we continually seek to grow and expand all levels of culinary and pastry training, in order to graduate well-trained cooks in response to the industry's evolving needs. Today's top chefs need skilled cooks to perform essential duties in their kitchens so they may run their business efficiently and at a profit. LADC is one of the primary resources for culinary talent in the Washington, DC region.

A program that prepares individuals to provide professional chef and related cooking services in restaurants and other commercial food establishments. Includes instruction in recipe and menu planning, preparing and cooking of foods, supervising and training kitchen assistants, the management of food supplies and kitchen resources, aesthetics of food presentation, and familiarity or mastery of a wide variety of cuisines and culinary techniques.
