About International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA)

In 1988, Drs. Sal Arria and Fred Hatfield gathered a powerful team of fitness experts to stem the tide of physical decline. Culled from the elite ranks of research, coaching, and sports medicine, these individuals were determined to transform wellness through education. Since that initial gathering, ISSA has catapulted to the forefront of the fitness industry, enrolling over 200,000 students and trainers across 92 countries. ISSA is a teaching institution for fitness trainers, athletic trainers, coaches, and healthcare professionals. We have set new standards in assessment, nutrition, instruction, and sports medicine practice. Join us today.
