Athens State University is a two year upper division baccalaureate degree granting institution offering coursework at the junior and senior level. Athens State provides affordable education in an environment which recognizes diversity and nurtures discovery and application of knowledge. We primarily serve transfer students from the community colleges as well as students from other accredited institutions of higher learning. Athens State prepares students for professional careers, graduate school, lifelong learning and enrichment. We offer quality teaching, individual attention and a varied course delivery system.

Athens State is an excellent choice for military members and their dependents. We can provide personal attention face to face or through our on-line services. Athens State has an office on a post location. We have flexible scheduling. We have on-line courses where veterans or active duty can complete their degree on-line. Each year we strive to become even more military friendly. This year we are providing scholarships for Purple Heart Recipients that meet our qualifications. Our majors in Acquisitions and Logistics are very popular with military members.
