About American Institute of Trucking – Las Vegas

American Institute of Trucking (AIT) is dedicated to providing training, which will enable trainees to learn and develop the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in the trucking industry. Our goal is not simply to train individuals to pass the Commercial Driver License test; but to produce graduates who will be valued employees for the finest transportation companies in America. Trainees learn by demonstration, study, and practice in modern, comfortable surroundings. They work with modern equipment under the supervision of qualified instructors. The trainees receive a maximum of personal attention in classes that are carefully limited in size.

AIT embraces the Principles of Excellence and is grateful for the veterans' service to our country. AIT programs combine real-world experience as part of the training. We offer seven different training schedules, affording veterans the flexibility to choose the format that best meets their needs and learning style. Veterans who graduate from AIT will have developed the techniques and skills to satisfy requirements for employment in the trucking profession. If our trainees don't succeed then AIT doesn't succeed!

A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to drive trucks and buses, delivery vehicles, for-hire vehicles and other commercial vehicles, or to instruct commerical vehicle operators. Includes instruction in operating gas, diesel, or electrically-powered vehicles; loading and unloading cargo or passengers; reporting delays or accidents on the road; verifying load against shipping papers; arranging transportation for personnel; and keeping records of receipts and fares.
